Canada Geese are a nuisance but they are regulated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service under the guidelines set forth by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 making it unlawful to kill, sell, hunt, disturb nests and eggs, or purchase and possess migratory birds unless permitted by the Secretary of the Interior. This is just one of the reasons HVWGC uses highly trained border collies (commonly referred to as Goose dogs) in a method called canine harassment or hazing.

Goose droppings are not only unsightly but they are unsanitary. As most of us know, geese are common around bodies of water and in parks.
